What Does It Take To Run a Rescue?

Volunteers are the backbone of the rescue.  Without the hard work of many volunteers the rescue simply wouldn't exist.  If you love cats and want to find a way to make the world a better place for kitties please consider helping us out!

If you'd like to help you can download a volunteer application and release here:

Volunteering at the Spay/Neuter Clinic

People who help out at the Spay/Neuter Clinic are a very special kind of volunteer.  If you have ever wanted to be a vet, or have any interest in working with both dogs and cats this may be the place for you!

The clinic needs people to make reminder phone calls, help clean and ready the area for surgeries, and even assist with surgery setup.  This is a great place to volunteer if you have ever been interested in the medical or health care side of animal ownership.

If you are interested in volunteering feel free to call the clinic at
970-484-1861 or e-mail Anna at

Volunteer to Help Clean our Adopted Trail

We figured since we're always asking people to adopt animals the least we could do is adopt something ourselves! And what better to adopt than one of our city's beautiful trails?

Come join us as we pick up the trash and make sure the trail is in good condition.  It's only a mile (15 min walk) one way and the mile back.  Plastic bags will be provided; bring a pair of work gloves and your walking shoes.

Directions: turn towards EPIC off of Prospect, continue south past the EPIC parking lot, and around EPIC. There will be a turn around with trailhead parking there. Sizable lot, very easy. There will also be a wagon with our logo banner waiting, to carry out the bags.

Our outing on March 8th was great fun and we cleaned up a bunch of trash.  Stay tuned, we'll have more adventures posted soon!
